Thank you so much for helping make the world a better place

I drive a City bus here in Lincoln. This provides me many opportunities to perform acts of kindness. I try to be kind to everyone who rides my bus, whether by giving a child a piece of candy, or making sure that everyone is seated before I move the bus. Sometimes a person down on his or her luck just needs someone to listen and show concern. Last year I participated in the Cameron effect and found it very rewarding. This year the date sneaked up on me, so I wasn’t prepared with gift cards, etc. though I did have some candy for the kids. I decided that I didn’t want this opportunity to get away, some when I had a few minutes on my route I got off the bus at the U-Stop went in and paid for the purchases of the next seven people. They were all so surprised and grateful. I told them to look up the Cameron effect on the Internet so they would understand why I was doing it. Hopefully this will cause them to pay it forward. Thank you so much for helping make the world a better place. -Marilyn
