Irving 6th graders, I’m sure it touched his spirit

Wow, what an uplifting day it was today! Spent an amazing morning with almost 50 fantastic 6th Graders at Irving Middle School who shared their experiences with the Cameron Effect. I brought along lots of Kleenex for all the sadness and tears. But the tears were few and the joy was great. Cameron would have been soooo pleased. The students were sincerely caring and gracious and thoughtful. Their principal said they were so “pumped” about their presentation, they even stayed after school yesterday to finish all the banners and the agenda flyer (complete with Cameron’s picture on it). This was the brainchild of a creative, passionate & energetic teacher, Jessica Fricke. Paul and I, Sam and Fernando were absolutely blown away. What an honor!! What a tribute to humanity & to Cameron’s life. I’m sure it touched his spirit. –Cameron’s mom, Shelley
