Irving Middle School 6th graders comprise book inspired by Cameron

Hello Shelley,
I teach 6th grade at Irving Middle School and used the story of your son to have open discussions with my students about what it means to pass on acts of kindness. At the time, we were writing realistic fiction stories that were sent off to a company for binding. Some students had the idea to take their entries about The Cameron Effect and put them together in a book of its own. The book is compiled of only eight, but mighty, entries describing what they did to make their immediate world a better place. The book is here at school and we would like you to have it. Any ideas on how we might get it to you?Sincerely,
Jessica Fricke

Hi Jessica,

What a wonderful and creative idea! I’m so glad the Cameron Effect is reaching children through folks like yourself – amazing. I’m delighted that you blogged so other readers may be inspired by you and your students. I’d love to come to your school and meet your students if that’s possible. I’ll call your school or post my email address soon.Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me and to our family, and I’m sure to Cameron’s friends.Best wishes,
Shelley

It shows that what they worked on matters and that was pretty significant to them. My email address is jfricke@lps.org. Please feel free to email at your convenience.Thank you again. -Jessica
