Recently I have been helping out at the Asian Cultural Center every Tuesday night for class and it brings such joy to me to know that every time I show up, I know that I am making a difference in these people’s lives. Without me and other volunteers they wouldn’t be able to learn English except on their own, which makes their lives so much harder. Trying to learn a language right after being uprooted from your country has to be one of the hardest things to do. I know this isn’t something new that I am doing but I plan to continue to do this even after the class is done. I didn’t know Cameron personally but I had him in class with me once and I feel this is an amazing way to celebrate his life.
